Customers and Clients

What is the difference between a customer and a client? Most people do not actually know. You might think that they are just synonyms, but that is not entirely accurate.

Now, a customer is someone who purchases goods or services from a retail store or business. Where a client is someone who receives professional services such as social media marketing, email marketing, SEO, project management, email management, article writing, copywriting, content management system, schedule management and much more.

In business, these two words are based on the types of relationships that are built. Customers are people who come to you, mainly to buy the inventory that you supply. Clients buy your advice and solutions because they are personalized to their particular needs.

Now, one major distinction is the loyalty factor. A customer could simply be a one-time patron whereas, a client will require ongoing advice and support for their business to grow properly. Therefore, making them repeat the purchasing cycle over and over again.

Basically, the scope and depth of the work relationship comes into play. This is the main factor that really makes all the difference. This relationship benefits customers and owners alike.

However, no matter what word you use, customer or client, be sure to treat them really well, so that your business will grow with them. You want them to know, like, trust, call and refer you repeatedly and frequently. Plus, you want them accustomed to your blog posts.
